RAB presses charges against Samrat, Arman in drug case

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has pressed charges against sacked Juba League leader Ismail Hossain Chowdhury Samrat and his associate Enamul Haque Arman in a case filed under the Narcotics Control Act. Sub-Inspector Abdul Halim of RAB-1, also the investigation officer of the case, submitted a charge-sheet before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court (CMM) of Dhaka on Sunday, said Assistant Superintendent of Police Sujoy Sarker, operations officer of the RAB-1, yesterday. Abdul Khaleque, deputy assistant director of the RAB battalion, filed the case against Samrat, expelled president of Dhaka South unit of Juba League, and Arman, vice-president of the unit, on October 7. On October 6, the elite force arrested the duo from Chauddagram upazila in Cumilla.
