Fears of existential crisis in JP disproved: Quader

The Jatiya Party (JP) is engaging in politics to fulfil the expectations of the country’s people and the people of the country are looking at the JP with such hopes, said JP chairman and the Deputy Leader of the opposition in parliament, GM Quader.

The JP is now united, proving that everyone misconceived that JP will disappear following the death of its founder-chairman HM Ershad, said Quader while addressing a meeting in the city yesterday.

The central committee of the Jatiya Juba Sanghati organised the discussion meeting at the auditorium of the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh. “JP is much stronger now. Everyone should work together to make the team stronger in the coming days,” Quader said. He added that many had feared that the JP would suffer an existential crisis following Ershad’s death but their apprehensions were proved wrong.

“The actual dedicated leaders and activists will be evaluated in the JP. True justice will be ensured in each case,” the JP chairman said. According to Quader, JP is the most likely party among the three major parties in the country. The people of the country have faith in the JP only because it has the power to work for the country’s welfare, the JP chairman added.

He further said without good obedience to leadership it is not possible to expect anything good in politics. The leaders and activists have to keep faith in leadership, he said, adding that it is important to remember that the leader can never go wrong.

Presidium member and Jatiya Juaba Sanghati president Alamgir Sikder Loton, JP presidium member Rezaul Islam Bhuiyan, Jatiya Juba Sanghati vice-presidents Dr Syed Abul Kasem, Deen Islam Sheikh and Manjurul Huq Manju, Dhaka division organising secretary Gazi MA Salam, Chattogram division organising secretary Prof. AKM Nurul Bashar Sujan, Rajshahi division organising secretary Shahin Mostafa Kamal Faruk, Barishal division organising secretary AK Mostafa, Sylhet division joint organising secretary Advocate Shibli and Mymensingh district president Ashraf Hossain also spoke on the occasion, among others.
