Khulna launches mobile app on COVID-19 health services

Khulna district administration has launched an Android platform-based mobile application (app) namely “COVID-19 Joruri Sheba Khulna” to provide accurate information about the status of coronavirus (COVID-19) and ensure necessary treatment here.

The special creative initiative ” Providing Home to Home Emergency Medical Services in Corona Crisis through Digital System” was launched by Khulna district administration in collaboration with Khulna Shishu Hospital fordelivering health-related accurate information to the citizens, officials said.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Helal Hossain inaugurated the mobile app at the seminar room of Khulna Shishu Hospital yesterday (Tuesday) noon as chief guest with Senior Consultant of Khulna Shishu Hospital Dr. Kamruzzaman in the chair.

Treasurer of Khulna Shishu Hospital Abu Sayed Md Monjur Alam, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC-General) Ziaur Rahman, Assistant commissioner andexecutive magistrate Md. Tahmidul Islam, Consultant of the Hospital Dr Md Muniruzzaman Khan, Dr Pradeep Debnath, Dr A K M Morshedur Rahman, administrative officer Md Al Amin Rakib, among others, were present at the event.

DC Helal Hossain said the government is committed to make the people aware, provide information and health services and continue the supply of essential products, including food, through the optimal use of technology.

“As part of providing inclusive technology solutions to provide corona virus and health-related information to the citizens, we’ve launched the mobile app ,” he said, adding it would be upgraded and made interactive in the future as well as all other apps would be integrated to get the info and services from the single platform.

The app helpline service would provide the status of coronavirus in the district, including information on prevention, symptoms, treatment options, risks, travel advisories, government helpline numbers and other services.
