Poribesh Bachao Andolon (POBA), an environmental advocacy group, formed a human chain in the city demanding reconstruction of century-old Khamarbari laboratory building, reports UNB. Leaders and activists of different social, professional and green organisations participated in the he human chain held in front of the Institute of Fine Arts of Dhaka University on Saturday.

He demanded reconstruction of Khamarbari laboratory building and punishment of those who demolished this building violating the High Court order.Chaired by POBA chairman Abu Naser Khan, its assistant secretary M A Wahid, president of Subondhon Samajik Kalyan Sanghthan Habibur Rahman Habib, president of Modern club Abul Hasanat spoke among others.

“We also want to build a modern and digital city but not destroying our heritage and culture. Khamarbari laboratory building is a century-old heritage site of our country. This laboratory has a great contribution to our agriculture sector," said Abu Naser Khan.
