Jillur Rahman’s 44 years in showbiz

Jillur Rahman is well-known name in the country’s showbiz. With his unique acting, the actor has made his presence felt in theatre, television and in the films over the years.

This year, the popular actor and comedian has completed his long journey of 44 years in the entertainment world.

Jillur Rahman debuted in acting with the tele-drama ‘Rokte Veja Shapla’ written by Abdus Sattar and directed by Atiqul Haque Chowdhury.  He has been seen in many tele-dramas since then.

Besides, he was part of the theatre troupe ‘Theatre’ for more than five years. He appeared in ‘Swapnorongo’, ‘Dashvan’ and many more plays produced by the troupe.

The actor prefers acting in films and tele-dramas more than acting on stage. The actor has acted in more than fifty films. He made his film debut with the film titled ‘Beder Meye’ directed by Nurul Haque Bacchu. Then, he went on and starred in many classics as ‘Epar Opar’, ‘Ek Mutho Bhat’ and many more. He portrayed the main antagonist of the film ‘Epar Opar’.

Jillur Rahman is actively doing comedy stage shows along with tele-dramas. Besides, the actor has released many comedy albums such as ‘Chander Deshe Bhatija’, ‘Rangbaz Bhatija’, ‘Hello Jillu’, ‘Bhatija Ekhon Kothay’, ‘Chacha Bhatija’ and more.

About his journey and life of acting, Jillur Rahman Said, “With the blessings of the audience, I have been acting passionately for more than four decades and I really enjoy acting. I want to act as long as I am alive”.

The actor runs a business along with his acting profession. Jillur Rahman likes to spend time playing with his grandson.

The actor is currently acting in a few drama serials such as Al Hazan’s ‘Olospur’, Hasan Jahangir’s ‘Chapabaz’ and Jabir Rasel’s ‘Birombona’.
