Star-studded episode of ‘Barnali’ on BTV tonight

Popular magazine show ‘Barnali’, hosted by Sanjida Akhter, has brought together multiple celebrity couples to share their moments of togetherness and stories of love tonight at 8:45pm on Bangladesh Television (BTV).

Celebrity couples like Rafiqul Alam-Abida Sultana, Yakub Ali Khan-Umme Zohra Hoque, Indra Mohan Rajbangshi-Dipti Rajbangshi, Kiran Chandra Roy-Chandana Majumdar, Bulbul Islam-Sharmin Sathi Islam, Sajed Akbar-Salma Akbar and Sharif Rajkumar-Anupama Mukti will be seen appearing in the show.

‘Barnali’ is a subject-based magazine show, where the show explores a unique theme each episode. Previously, the show explored the themes like ‘Ekakitto’ (Loneliness), ‘Bangladesher Cholocchitrer Gaan’ (Film songs of Bangladesh), ‘Prem o Premer Nanan Dik’ (Love and Love related aspects) and many more.

About the show, Sanjida Akhter said, “Barnali brings a different subject matter each episode and this episode’s subject is ‘Couple’ and stories of their togetherness.

Many couples sing together, but do not have the opportunity to feature in the same show together. We wanted to create that opportunity and give them the platform to perform together. Besides, this is also an attempt to give recognition to the work of the celebrity couples. I hope audience will like the episode.”

To note, the journey of ‘Barnali’ started by the initiatives of Nawazesh Ali Khan, who introduced the show on BTV. But the show was discontinued for a long period of time and Mahbuba Ferdous took initiatives to bring the show back. Since then the show has been regularly aired on BTV for the last three years.

The music of the show is scored by music director Sheikh Sadi Khan.
