Dithi’s first solo musical show at Nat’l Museum today

Young talented singer Dithi Anwar, also known to be the daughter of Ekushey Padak and National Film Award-winning film director-producer-distributor-lyricist Gazi Mazharul Anwar, is going to perform at her first ever solo musical evening at the Poet Sufia Kamal Auditorium of the National Museum today at 5pm.

Dhaka Live has news that the musical evening will begin after a short discussion followed by handing over education stipend at 4pm.

The event will be inaugurated by former Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique. Audience-admired actor and Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor will be present as chief guest at the event, while prominent cultural personality Syed Hasan Imam and noted singer Fatema Tuz Zohra will be present as special guest.

Dithi Anwar said about the musical evening, “Even though I have been singing for a very long time, I did not have my own solo musical show yet.

Finally, I got this opportunity and I am feeling amazing. I will try to perform at least 15 songs. Also, I will try to keep the audience request during the show. I seek blessing from everyone, so that I can execute my first solo musical evening successfully.”

To note, Dithi Anwar will perform most of the songs composed by her father at the event. The songs include ‘Shudhu Gan Geye Porichoy’, ‘Se Je Keno Elo Na’,‘Sobaito Bhalobasa Chay’, ‘ Bandhu Tor Barat Niya’, Ektara Tui Desher Kotha’, ‘Achen Amar Moktar’ and others.
