Couple killed in Ashulia accident

A couple was killed in a road accident on Tongi-Ashulia-EPZ road in Jamgora area of Ashulia early Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Solayman and his wife Nurjahan. Both of them worked at a readymade garments factory.

Sources said the accident took place at late night when a speeding bus ran over the duo in the area while they were crossing the road, leaving Nurjahan dead on the spot and her husband injured.

The injured was taken to nearby Women and Child Health Centre where doctors declared him dead.
