Two artistes from two generations in one frame

Veteran actress Shilpi Sarkar Apu and National Film Award-winning actress Zakia Bari Mamo, two artistes from two different generations, have come together in one frame for an upcoming tele-drama. Shilpi Sarkar Apu will be seen playing the role of the mother of Zakia Bari Mamo in the tele-drama titled ‘Tomar Jonno Ek Prithibi’, written by Rumman Rashid Khan and directed by Maksudur Rahman Bishal.

Shilpi Sarkar Apu is in high praise of Mamo for her brilliant acting skills and humble behaviour.

On the shooting set of ‘Tomar Jonno Ek Prithibi’, Shilpi Sarkar said about Mamo, “She is a really good actress. Though we have not worked together in many projects, from the experience of the projects we have done together, I can say that I’m enthralled by her cordial behaviour and brilliant acting.”

“She is a great human being with a good heart and she respects me a lot. Many say that juniors do not show respect to the seniors, but I have never faced such issues,” she added.

Zakia Bari Mamo also shared her thoughts about actress Shilpi Sarkar, “In the arena of acting, she is my senior and she is a talented actress as well. I always enjoy working with her and she also adores me a lot. I always try to improve my acting skills by working with seniors and learning from them.”

About acting in this tele-drama, Mamo said, “I have acted under the direction of Maksudur Rahman Bishal before. ‘Tomar Jonne Ek Prothibi’ also has a great story.”

‘Tomar Jonno Ek Prithibi’ will be aired on the occasion of coming Valentine’s Day on a satellite television channel. l
