All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been made the goodwill ambassador of the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) of the country to campaign against corruption.

The ACC made the announcement after a signing ceremony held at its office at Segunbagicha in Dhaka on Sunday.

The ACC boss Iqbal Mahmud said "Corruption is one of the biggest problems in our country. So if we want to solve this problem, we must fight against corruption with all our efforts.

We can't sacrifice our next generation's future for some corrupt people.

So, If the youth community takes a firm stand against corruption like Shakib Al Hasan, there will be no corruption in the society."

The Commission will use all the power against the corrupt people in collaboration with everyone."

"If corruption can be prevented, the country will be developed, people's quality of life will improve, and hunger and poverty-free society will be built," he added.

Shakib Al Hasan in this regard said, "I am proud to be able to work with an organization like the Anti-Corruption Commission. If a person is benefited by my efforts ending the corruption, then I will feel successful."

He said, I started the new journey to build a corruption-free country and for the development of the country we will work jointly against corruption."

Captain in Twenty20 International and Tests Shakib Al Hasan is considered as the greatest cricketer to have ever played for Bangladesh.

Shakib is also acknowledged as the best all-rounder in the world with the highest current rankings in all formats of the game.
