Three of a same family are among the passengers who travelled to Khatmandu with US-Bangla Airlines flight from Dhaka that crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport in the capital of the Himalayan country on Monday, reports UNB.

It is not known yet what happened to them. The family members are desperately looking for an update as the officials are yet to come up with victims' list.

FH Priok, his wife and daughter were traveling to Kathmandu.

"We are trying to get the update," Baqui Billah Milon, a family friend of Priok told UNB.

"Ready to fly to Kathmandu from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport ...Pls keep us in your prayers," Annie Priok, wife of FH Priok wrote on Facebook wall tagging her husband before departure.

That was the last update they posted on Facebook.

At least 50 people died as an aircraft of US-Bangla Airlines from Dhaka to Kathmandu crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport in the capital of the Himalayan country on Monday, said officials.

Many injured were rushed to nearby hospitals, officials added.

The death toll remained unclear amid the chaos of the crash and the rush of badly injured victims to nearby hospitals.

Brig. Gen. Gokul Bhandari, the Nepal army spokesman, said 50 people had died and the fate of the others was unknown, reports AP.

But a police official, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk to the media, said at least 38 people had died, 23 had been injured and 10 were unaccounted for.

The official said 10 people remained unaccounted for in Monday's crash.

Earlier, Md Kamrul Islam, General Manager (GM), Marketing Support and PR of US-Bangla Airlines, confirmed UNB about the accident.

The flight was carrying 67 passengers - 32 from Bangladesh, 33 from Nepal and one each from China and the Maldives, according to airlines sources.

There were four crewmembers on board, but did not provide their nationalities.
