6 skin care tips you must follow this summer

Every year, summers take a toll on the skin. The scorching heat, pollution and the humidity can make your skin dull and tired-looking during the harsh weather.

To avoid such skin woes, you must take a step before the damage is done. To keep your skin safe and radiant like before, here are six skin care tips you must follow this season:

Always apply a sunscreen

Let's begin with the most important step for summer, which is applying a sunscreen. Look for a good sunscreen cream which has minimum SPF 30. Make sure you apply it 15 minutes prior to heading out in the sun. Also, if you're constantly out of your office or home, you must reapply the sunscreen in a few hours gap.

Give your skin a make-up detox

During such weather, you should not go overboard with make-up as it can make you sweat more and cause breakouts. Indulge in cool face masks and fruity scrubs and pamper your skin.

Use summer-friendly products

You must replace your winter products with summer ones. Like, go for gel-based moisturisers versus creamy ones. You can also try using a multi-purpose CC cream instead of the heavy-duty foundation.

Drink lots of water

You must drink at least 7-8 glasses of water daily. This will hydrate your body and even cool your body temperature. Drinking water will help to wash out toxins and avoid dehydration.

Hydrate your body

Be it summers or winters, you must hydrate your body and face in every weather. Go for refreshing fruity lotions for your body and water or gel-based moisturiser for your face.

Avoid getting tan

We know summer style is all about wearing off-shoulder tops and short dresses. But, don't go overboard with these styles during the day when the sun is harsh. To protect your eyes from ageing, make sure you carry a pair of sunglasses while heading out.
