A break-free special tele-drama titled ‘Mental Family’, scripted by Brindaban Das and directed by Dipu Hazra, was aired on Gazi TV during last Eid-ul-Fitr. The tele-drama was an instant hit and earned huge admiration from the viewers.

Besides, ‘Mental Family’ secured ninth position among about 400 Eid tele-dramas—according to Television Rating Point (TRP).

Later, the tele-drama was uploaded on a YouTube channel under the banner Rabbitholebd Entertainment, and in a matter of two weeks, it has crossed five million views. ‘Mental Family’ has garnered 5,220,307 views at the time of writing this report yesterday.

Playwright Brindaban Das said, “Whenever I write a story for a tele-drama, I consider it as my child and I want it to be always good. It is the audience who decides whether they accept or reject it.”

“However, I was hopeful about this tele-drama and we have been praised for the job. I felt really wonderful seeing comments of the viewers”, he added.

Director Dipu Hazra said, “I wait a year to get a drama written by Brindaban Das. His writing brings me complete joy of Eid. And, ‘Mental Family’ adds colour to that joy. I would like to thank Brindaban Das, Chanchal Chowdhury, Farhana Mili, AKM Hasan, Shahnaz Khushi and other members in the production, who made this happen.”
