Rose Petal Malai Chaap is a dessert recipe which is specially curated for the occasion of Janmashtami. This delectable sweet dish is prepared with milk, sugar, rose petals, cardamom powder and rose essence.
Ingredients of Rose Petal Malai Chaap
3 litre milk
1 teaspoon rose essence
1 teaspoon vinegar
1 tablespoon dry rose petals
1 kilograms sugar
1 teaspoon spice cardamom
5 almonds
1 litre water
How to make Rose Petal Malai Chaap
Step 1
Add milk in a vessel and place over medium flame to boil it. After 10 minutes of boiling, turn off the flame and add vinegar to it (vinegar will curdle the milk). Take out the curdled milk in a muslin cloth and squeeze.
Step 2
Now, put a pan over low flame and add 1kg of sugar with 1litre water. Stir occasionally until you get a syrup-like consistency.
Step 3
Give the curdled milk (chena) a cylindrical shape and cook it in the sugar syrup.
Step 4
For making the rose petal rabri, boil milk in a deep pan over medium flame till it becomes thick. Add sugar, rose petals, cardamom powder and rose essence in it.
Step 5
Cut the cooked curdled milk (chena) into small cylindrical pieces and place them on a serving tray. Pour the rose petal rabri on top of it and garnish with chopped almonds and rose petals. Serve cold.
