Today’s Career Education test now on Mar 2

ICT exam under Jashore board postponed
STAFF REPORTER, Dhaka
Today’s Career Education test now on Mar 2

Today Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination of Career Education subject has been postponed under all education boards due to printing mistakes in the question papers. The examination has been rescheduled for March 2 at 2pm.

Earlier, the SSC multiple choice questions (MCQ) test of the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) subject under the Jashore education board was postponed yesterday because of printing mistakes. The mistake was spotted after candidates began taking the test around 10am yesterday. Confirming this to The Independent, the controller of examinations of the Jashore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Madhab Chandra Rudra, said this occurred because of a mistake made by Bangladesh Government Press (BG Press). The fresh date for the ICT exam will be announced later.

The exam controller said ICT test MCQ contains a total of 25 marks. The ‘Gha’ set of questions had 12 questions on ICT while the remaining 13 were about Career Education.

The Career Education test has been rescheduled for 2 March at around 2pm instead of 13 February, he added. On 2 February, the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations began under 10 education boards across the country. The ICT subject of the SSC exams under the Jashore Education Board was scheduled for Tuesday, 12 February.

Before that, on the first day of the SSC exams that begun on 2 February, a different set of question papers set in accordance with a different syllabus surfaced at some centres across the country.
