Zahid Hasan-starrer ‘Sitara’ in cinemas May 31

With the film ‘Sitara’ set for release on May 31, celebrated Bangladeshi actor Zahid Hasan is going to make his debut in the Indian film industry. The film is directed by Indian filmmaker Ashish Roy.

Surprisingly, the film will not be released in one, but in three languages. Earlier, the film was supposed to be released in Bangla and Telegu, but now the film will see its release in Tamil as well.

Based on eminent writer Abul Bashar’s novel, ‘Bhorer Prosuti’, the film narrates the story of smuggling and the underprivileged people associated with this business. The shooting of the film took place in Mekhliganj of Cooch Behar district in the Indian state of West Bengal.

Alongside Zahid Hasan who plays as Dilu, two other actors from Bangladesh, Fazlur Rahman Babu and Shahed Ali and Tollywood actress Raima Sen will be seen portraying important roles in ‘Sitara’.
