Azerbaijan keen to import more Bangladeshi products

Azerbaijan wants to import different products, including furniture, ceramic tiles, pharmaceuticals and software, from Bangladesh.

Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan based in India Dr Ashraf Shikhaliyev yesterday expressed the keenness while meeting with leaders of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) at its headquarters in the capital, said a press release.

Among others, FBCCI Acting President M Muntakim Ashraf, Director of FBCCI Abdul Haque and Secretary General of FBCCI Hussain Jamil were present at the meeting.

Muntakim Ashraf said the Bangladesh government has been implementing different initiatives, including setting up special economic zones, to attract the investors in the country.

He urged the Azerbaijan businesspeople to invest in the special economic zones taking the attractive opportunities offered by the Bangladesh government.
