Investigative documentary to be screened today

Today, an investigative documentary film titled ‘Merciless Mayhem: The Bangladesh Genocide through Pakistani Eye’ is scheduled to be screened at the National Art Gallery auditorium of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) in the capital. The documentary is directed by filmmaker and media personality Fuad Chowdhury.

Organised by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy’s Dramatics and Film Department, the screening of the documentary is set to begin at 5pm.

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque will inaugurate the event. Presided over by BSA Director General Liaquat Ali Lucky, LGRD Minister Md Tajul Islam will attend the ceremony as the chief guest and State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid will be present as special guest. Besides, National Professor Anisuzzaman will also attend the programme as the guest of honour.

The documentary film ‘Merciless Mayhem: The Bangladesh Genocide through Pakistani Eye’ narrates the history of Bangladesh between the 1947 Partition and the Liberation War of 1971 from a Pakistani perspective.

The screening is open to all.
