Avanti Deshpande, in-house nutritionist at an organisation, mentions, “Pomegranate juice and nut milk are abundant in anti-oxidants and Vitamin E, respectively which combats the oxidants thus, giving a healthy skin. As beverages, juices are rich in vitamins like vitamin A and vitamin C, minerals like calcium, potassium, phosphorus, and phytochemicals which fight against free radicals. Furthermore, juices are alkaline in nature and this characteristic helps to reduce acidity which in turn helps change the health of the skin by making the skin radiant and blemish-free.”

According to experts, the best remedy for repairing hair and skin is to eat the fruits regularly as it will benefit the body internally rather than the external application of creams. Dr Geetanjali Shetty, dermatologist medical director of a company advices on how seasonal juices can do wonders for beauty.

She says, “Adding aloe vera juice to any of your recipes will provide you with several skin-boosting benefits and repair the collagen in your skin. While, carrots are packed with Vitamin A and C, which helps to slow down the signs of aging and prevent your cells from degenerating. Other excellent health foods kale, beetroots, amla, ginger, lemons, celery, pineapple, and papaya — these are natural resources of vitamins and antioxidants that can be used for cleansing, alkalising and detoxifying your body.”
