Drop Priyanka as Unicef envoy: Pakistan
Priyanka Chopra, a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, gives an interview to The Associated Press at the UNICEF Country Office in Amman, Jordan, Sep 10, 2017. AP

Pakistan human rights minister Shireen Mazari has demanded that the UN sack Indian actress Priyanka Chopra as goodwill ambassador.

In a letter to Unicef, she said, “Chopra has publicly endorsed the Indian government position on Kashmir and also supported the nuclear threat issued to Pakistan by the Indian defence minister.

All this goes completely against the principles of peace and goodwill that Chopra is supposed to uphold...” She shared the letter on her Twitter account on Wednesday.
