Int’l poetry evening held at Biswa Sahitya Kendra

World Festival of Poetry and KATHAK, a Bangladesh-Poetry Initiative, jointly organised an evening of poetry recitation in the capital on Friday. With the slogan of ‘Poetry for Peace’, the poets recited their poems at the auditorium of Biswa Sahitya Kendra, said a press release.

The arrangement of the event focused on getting poets and poetry lovers together to define a path for the establish peace and spread all over the world.

At the same time propagation of protesting the violence occurring many countries of the world.  

Two renowned poets from Mexico Dr Yuri Zambrano and Dr Mayra Chavez joined the occasion where prominent and renowned poets from Bangladesh escalated the event.

All the poets gathered to express themselves by performing their melodious poetry with strong and evocative lyrics. The objective of this event is to establish peace and improve the value of ideology in the society across the globe.

A total of 35 poets from Bangladesh, including Poet Mohammad Nurul Huda, Poet Aminur Rahman, Poet Jahidul Huq, Poet Jahagir Firoze, Poet Najma Chowdhury, Poet Shakib Lohani and Poet Tarik Sujat participated in the event.

Besides, eminent personalities, artists, painters, poets and poetry lovers from the society attended the event.
