Airin’s new film hits Kolkata tomorrow

Film to release with a different title in Bangladesh
DL REPORTER, Dhaka
Airin’s new film hits Kolkata tomorrow

The wait is finally over for Bangladeshi model-actress Airin Sultana as her new film is all set to hit 25 cinema halls in Kolkata tomorrow. Directed by Haroonuzzaman, the film will be released in Kolkata under the title ‘Padmar Bhalobasha’, while it will be released in Bangladesh with a different title ‘Padmar Prem’ in November this year.

The film ‘Padmar Prem’, an Indo-Bangla joint production, casts Airin in the titular role, Padma--a girl in the 60’s who lives on the bank of the Padma river.

Actor Sumit will be seen opposite the actress in the film.

This is the first time any of Airin’s films to see its release in West Bengal. The actress, however, could not confirm if she would be present at the first show in Kolkata.

She said about the film, “I have played the titular role in the film. I have tried my best to portray the character as lively as possible. As the producers of this film are from Bangladesh and Kolkata, the film will be released in both Bangladesh and West Bengal.”

“This time around, I feel a completely different sense of pleasure, because it would be my first ever film that is going to be released in Kolkata. I am really delighted on this unique occasion”, she added. l
