SA Games Cricket: Bangladesh to play Maldives on Wednesday

Bangladesh will start their campaign in the five-team men’s cricket competition of the 13th South Asian Games taking on the Maldives on Wednesday (December 4) at the Nepalese capital Kathmandu.

Top order batsman Najmul Hossain Shanto-led Bangladesh Men’s (Under-23) Cricket team, which reached Kathmandu to take part in the South Asian Games on Monday, will take on Bhutan on December 6, hosts Nepal on December 7 before their last league match against Sri Lanka on December 8 in the remaining matches.

After the league stage, the top two teams will play in the final while third and fourth placed teams will play a bronze deciding play-off match.

Bangladesh Men’s Cricket team : Saif Hassan, Mohammad Naim, Afif Hossain, Zakir Hasan, Najmul Hossain Shanto (Captain), Yasir Ali, Minhajul Abedin Afridi, Sumon Khan, Mahidul Ankon, Tanvir Islam, Manik Khan, Mehedi Hasan Rana, Soumya Sarkar, Mahadi Hasan and Hasan Mahmud.
