Veteran actor Ali Raj doesn’t need any introduction to the viewers who watch Bangla cinema on a regular basis.

Beginning his career as W Anwar in the television drama, he later entered into the film industry with ‘Sot Bhai’, a film by Nayak Raj Razzak. Since then, he didn’t need to look back!

Apparently, it seems that the son of Ali Raj, Saran Raj is following the same footstep once his father followed many years back. Though Ali Raj always wanted his son to make debut in the acting world through a film, he, at the same time, thinks his son should prepare himself for the big screen by working in television drama first. As the way his father expected, Saran has acted in a drama serial recently.

DhakaLive has news that Saran is set to appear in an ongoing drama serial ‘Somoyer Galpo’ tonight. The episode titled ‘Onaitik Siddhanta’ will be aired at 8:10pm on RTV.

Ali Raj, who is eagerly waiting to watch his son’s maiden drama, said, “I wished him to see as a hero in the film. But I want him to become an accomplished actor before that. As there’s very limited scope of learning acting from any institution in our country, I want him to learn acting appropriately through performing in the television dramas.”

Saran said on his part, “My father is my idol in acting. I grew up by watching him performing in films and tele-dramas. This is my first acting project and I really don’t know how good I did here. But I have been waiting for tonight’s episode of drama. I am trying to act in my own style taking tips from my father.”
