Babu’s two-day photography exhibition beigns at DRU today

A two-day photography exhibition demanding the education of Brickfield workers’ children titled ‘We Want Education’ by photojournalist Fojit Sheikh Babu will begin today at the Nasrul Hamid Auditorium of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU), in Segun Bagicha of the capital.


 
 The inaugural ceremony of the exhibition will be held today at DRU. Fojit Sheikh Babu’s mother Fazila Begum will inaugurate the exhibition, while Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni will be attending the event as the chief guest.

National Professor Dr Anisuzzaman will preside over the event while BRAC University emeritus professor Manzoor Ahmed will be present as the keynote speaker and Norwegian ambassador to Bangladesh Sidsel Bleken is scheduled to be present as special guest.

A number of 30 photographs of the photojournalist  are put on to showcase at the exhibition.

This is not the first of Fojit Sheikh Babu’s initiative to highlight the crisis and success of Bangladesh in limited capacity. In his first photographic exhibition ‘Stop the Climate Change’, he not only highlighted the horrors of Bangladesh’s environmental disaster, but also called for awareness to protect the endangered nature.

In this connection, a photo exhibition ‘We Want Education’ children of brickfield workers were demanded for education has been organised at DRU on February 27 and 28.

The exhibition remains open to all from 10am to 5pm, until tomorrow.
