Seven killed in Bagura road accidents

At least seven people were killed and 13 others injured in two separate road accidents on the Dhaka-Bogura highway under Sherpur upazila of the district today.

Police said four people died on the spot and 11 others injured in Ghoga Bottola area when a salt-laden truck collided head on with a Dhaka-bound passenger bus at about 11.45am.

The injured were admitted to Shahid Zia Medical College and Hospital where two others succumbed to their injuries.

Among the deceased five were identified as Abdul Alim, Rakib Islam, M Raju, Saddam Hossain and Manjurul Islam. All are resident of Jaldhaka upazila in Nilphamari district.
