Bangladesh national cricket team all-rounder Mosaddek Hossain Saikat has stepped up in support of those severely affected by the nationwide lockdown due to Covid-19 pandemic, extending his supporting hands for the underprivileged and needy people in the ongoing crisis-hit times.

The 24-year-old all-rounder has decided to support as many as 200 families in a move to help out the poor people at a time when the country is fighting against the deadly coronavirus that has also brought the entire world to a standstill.

Mosaddek Hossain was seen providing clothes, food suppliances to the economically weaker people in the society of his birth place Mymensingh yesterday. He also urges the rich people to step forward from their respective positions and stands beside the people belonging to the lower-income group.

“Be well everyone and hope to get rid of this epidemic.

I’m trying to my level best and urge everyone to help the poor people as per your ability.

The entire world has been plagued by the Covid-19. No one has ever observed such crisis to our beloved homeland over the years. About 6 crore people in poor country who are helpless and poor, have been going through this troubled situation and it’s our responsibility to stand beside them by this time,” Mosaddek said in his verified Facebook page.

I feel very fortunate for being able to stand beside the needy people of Mymensingh. Let’s do it who are capable. Do something for our society,” he further added.

Earlier, in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, the national team players contributed half of their salaries, accumulating to taka 26 lakh (after-tax) for the poor and underprivileged people.
