Rafiath Rashid Mithila and Vikram Chatterjee  are thrilled to be a part of the Indo-Bangladesh lockdown short film ‘Dure Thaka Kacher Manush’ which aims to raise funds for the daily wage workers of both Dhaka and Tollywood industry.

“For me it’s an emotional story, Dipta and Bonnya base in two different countries. Talking to each other after a long time.

The sweet essence of love well portrayed in the script. This is a very different idea and a different experience also. My friend Abhinav and I did the shoot, we managed camera, art all departments but yes we didn’t step out, we maintained all lockdown rules. We all shot at home. Me at Kolkata Mithila at Dhaka. It was tough but as a team, we made this tough job possible. Amit da and team from ‘TVwala Media’, ‘PREKKAGREEHO VISUAL FACTORY PRODUCTION’ from Dhaka have all been very supportive. Otherwise this work would not have been possible. Also we didn’t take any remuneration for this film. All earned money to support the daily wages worker of Dhaka Film Industry and Kolkata Film Industry. Abhra (Chakraborty) has penned the story. I know him since ‘Elar Char Addhay’. I am happy to work with him again. Hope people will like it to achieve our goal to help our technicians of both Bengals, our people,” said Vikram

Meanwhile, Rafiath Rashid Mithila thinks it would be a great initiative to raise funds for cine-technicians during this COVID-19 lockdown period.
“Many technicians in both our industries have lost job due to the long lockdown in both Bengals. This is just a humble contribution from our side to support them in this difficult time. The experience was unique as this is the first time many of us started home-based shoot with mobile camera. My brother, Maimun, helped me with the camera operations. My director Polock helped me a lot with story boards and the pictures of the specific shots that he needed. Overall, we were happy with the shoot. The lockdown period is quite busy for me as I am working full time from home. I also have to take care of my daughter. This shoot was a little difficult to do due to the regular household chores and work. But it was also a nice break,” added Mithila.
