FICCI provided 11,000 units of high-quality Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS)

The Foreign Investors' Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) provided 11,000 units of high-quality Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), to help them fight against COVID-19.

Among these protective gears, 1,000 units are specialised for Medical Grade PPE and the rest 10,000 units are for professionals at the hospitals including doctors, nurses, and staff who are extending medical services to coronavirus patients, according to a press release issued recently.

According to the media release, FICCI President Rupali Haque Chowdhury handed over the PPE to the Acting Director General Prof. Dr.

On the occasion, FICCI President Rupali Chowdhury reiterated the commitment of all the members of FICCI — the multinational companies operating in Bangladesh — said, “We believe it’s our responsibility to contribute and stand beside the government and the healthcare professionals to fight this challenging pandemic situation,” said the release.

She also expressed her gratitude to the relevant stakeholders including, DGHS, drug administration and NBR for facilitating the process. She also expressed her special thanks to the Young Ones Bangladesh, locally manufactured these high-quality PPE, the press release added.
