Covid-19 positive cases reach 8481 in Ctg district

The number of coronavirus (COVID-19) positive cases reached 8481 as highest ever 445 people were tested positive on a single day at the six laboratories after testing 1594 samples in the district in the last 24 hours.

Civil surgeon Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi told BSS said that today that two died taking the number of deaths from coronavirus (COVID-19)to 170 death toll in Chattogram.

A total of 898 persons were released from the hospital after recovery from COVID-19 infection till today, he added.

Dr Rabbi told that a total of 45 new COVID-19 patients were diagnosed with the coronavirus at Chattogram University after testing 151 samples in the last 24 hours

A total of 31 new COVID-19 patients were diagnosed with the corona virus at BITID, Chattogram after testing 216 samples in the last 24 hours.

121 more new COVID-19 patients were tested corona positive at Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) after testing 477 samples during the same period.

Besides, 83 new COVID-19 patients were identified at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Science University (CVASU) after testing 233 samples, the civil surgeon said.

23 more corona patients were identified at city’s Imperial Hospital after testing 127 samples while 141 people tested corona positive at Shevrone labratory after testing 280 samples in last 24 hours.

On the other hand, one residents of Lohagara upazila were identified as COVID-19 positive after testing 10 samples at Cox’s Bazar Medical College Hospital in last 24 hours.
