Female footballers fearful of fitness: Krishna

Players of the Bangladesh National Women’s football team are worried about their fitness as they have been out of any outdoor activities including playing matches.

Meanwhile, all the female footballers, who stay in the camp house of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) round the year, are used to attending training session twice or once a day.

Apart from routine training sessions and practice matches, they also had the opportunity to do necessary gym works regularly.
But since calling off the camp due to terrible COVID-19 pandemic, they have been living almost in isolation conditions and have no opportunity to follow their routine fit works but the players are not passing their days in idle.

Krishna Rani Sarker, one of the most valuable players of the team, detailed what are they doing to keep up their fitness level while talking to the BFF media through online on Thursday.

Krishna said, “It’s really a long time we are almost out of our regular activities with which we had been use to but now there is no outdoor training, no gym opportunity let alone playing games.”

“But we have to keep fit, as we think that once the situation normalises and we will also return to our usual life again,” said Krishna.

“Though we are not all together for a long time and living in different parts of the country but we are in close touch with our coaches and have regular communications through WhatsApp.”

“Whenever and whatever we need, personally we talk to our coaches to have tips and directions over phone and we have also a videoconference once in a week,” Krishna replied to a query.

“In fact, despite we are living in remote areas but we are in touch with BFF and supervision of our coaches,” Krishna said.
