The Russian Center for Science and Culture (RCSC), Dhaka and Serov Academy of Fine Arts jointly arranged a virtual meeting on ‘Gallery of paintings by Ivan Aivazovsky’ marking the 203rd birth anniversary of the Russian marine painter Ivan Aivazovsky on Wednesday July 29, said a press release.

The participants shared their opinions regarding the works of the artist. They also requested to arrange this program in the future so that they could enjoy more realistic paintings of Russian painters.

Maxim Dobrokhotov, director of the RCSC, expressed thankfulness to the participants for the interest in Russian culture adding that Ivan Aivazovsky (July 29, 1817 – May 2, 1900)  was primarily known for his images of seascapes and is considered one of the greatest masters of marine art in history who produced around 6,000 paintings.
