‘Aynabaji’ bags 2nd position in world cinema

Bangladesh's one-of-a-kind crime thriller film ‘Aynabaji’ (2016) aka ‘Mirror Game’ has clinched the second position with a staggering rating point of 9.1 out of 10 points in international platform amberscript.com, said a press release. 

This is a prestigious accomplishment for the film to be acknowledged in an international platform, which has been seen as a momentous milestone in the country’s history of film industry. Its suspense has kept its audience hooked up worldwide.

This rating point was recently published by amberscript.com. Starring a galaxy of stars, this achievement of ‘Aynabaji’ in Bangladesh is a great success in keeping pace with Hollywood and Bollywood films.   

The transcription site has published a list of the world's top-ranked films based on the country's analysis of films from 130 countries and IMDB's rating score. While, IMDB is the world's most popular and authoritative source for movie, TV and celebrity content, finding ratings and reviews for the new movie and TV shows.

Kosovo's 'Zana' (2019) is the second film jointly sharing the position with ‘Aynabaji’, both scoring the same rating point 9.1.

The top of the list is taken by ‘The Shawshank Redemption’ released in 1994 with 9.2 out of 10 points. Followed by the UK's 'The Dark Knight' (2008) and Sri Lanka's 'Aloko Udapadi' (2017) jointly secured third position with 9.00 rating points.

‘Aynabaji’ was released on September 30, 2016. Through this, critically acclaimed cinéaste Amitabh Reza Chowdhury made his debut as a film director while visionary Ziauddin Adil as a producer. Chanchal Chowdhury has played the lead role in the film. Actress Nabila and musician-cum-actor Partha Barua played significant roles.

The screenplay of the film is written by Anam Biswas and Syed Gaosul Alam Shaon. Lutfur Rahman George, Heera Chowdhury, Shawkat Osman, Brindabon Das, Gousul Alam, Iffat Trisha and others are also cast in it. In addition to being screened at film festivals in different countries, ‘Aynabaji’ won the 'National Film Award' in seven categories at home.

Earlier on September 30, the fourth anniversary of ‘Aynabaji’ was celebrated by its cast and crew.
