Three Hollywood films set to
hit Star Cineplex today

Three Hollywood films titled ‘John Wick: Chapter 3–Parabellum’ directed by Chad Stahelski, ‘Aladdin’ directed by Guy Ritchie and ‘Brightburn’ directed by David Yarovesky are set to hit the screens of Star Cineplex of Bashundhara City Shopping Mall in the capital today.

‘John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum’ (also known as ‘John Wick: Chapter 3’ or simply ‘John Wick 3’) is an American neo-noir action film starring Keanu Reeves as the titular character. It is the third instalment in the John Wick film series, following ‘John Wick’ (2014) and ‘John Wick: Chapter 2’ (2017). Written by Derek Kolstad, Shay Hatten, Chris Collins, and Marc Abrams, based on a story by Kolstad. It also stars Halle Berry, Laurence Fishburne, Mark Dacascos, Asia Kate Dillon, Lance Reddick, Anjelica Huston, and Ian McShane.

Alongside, ‘Aladdin’ is an American musical fantasy film. Produced by Walt Disney Pictures, it is a live-action adaptation of Disney’s 1992 animated film of the same name, which was based on the eponymous folktale from ‘One Thousand and One Nights’. Director Guy Ritchie  also co-wrote the screenplay with John August. The film stars Will Smith, Mena Massoud, Naomi Scott, Marwan Kenzari, Navid Negahban, Nasim Pedrad, and Billy Magnussen. In the film, street urchin Aladdin finds a magic lamp and must use it to win over Princess Jasmine and defeat the evil Jafar.

On the other hand, ‘Brightburn’ is an American superhero horror film produced by James Gunn and Kenneth Huang. The film stars Elizabeth Banks, David Denman, Jackson A. Dunn, Matt Jones, and Meredith Hagner. The film’s story follows a young alien who lands on earth and realizes he has super powers. The film is produced and financed by Screen Gems, Stage 6 Films, Troll Court Entertainment, and The H Collective.

To note, the films ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum’ and ‘Aladdin’ will be also screened at the Star Cineplex of Shimanto Shambhar and Blockbuster Cinemas of Jamuna Future Park as well starting from today. l
