Sports Reporter, Dhaka

The day one of the last round of the National Cricket League (NCL) has excelled with the performance of both batsmen and bowlers as three centuries have been done along with two bowlers claimed five or more wickets for the first time in career yesterday.

Taibur Raman smacked 110 for Dhaka Division, Suhrawardi Shuvo blasted 105 for Rangpur Division and Fazle Mahmud clouted 141 for Barishal Division. On the other hand, pacer Ruyel Miah grabbed eight wickets for Sylhet Division and pacer Abdul Halim snared five wickets. It was the career-best bowling performance for both bowlers.

Riding on Taibur Raman’s 110, Dhaka Division compiled 273-7 at stumps against Khulna Division at the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadiun in Khulna and Rangpur Division rode on Suhrawardi Shuvo’s 105 garnered 263-8 against Rajshahi Division at Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rashahi in the Tier-1 matches.

Ruyel Miah’s spellbinding career-best eight-wicket haul steered Sylhet Division to restrict Chattogram Division to paltry 106 at the Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogura and Fazle Mahmud’s141 guided Barishal Division to put on 338-6 against Dhaka Metro at Barishal Divisional Stadium in Barishal in the Tier-2 encounters.
