‘Mendeleev Lab’ campaign

Staff Reporter, Dhaka

The Russian Centre for Science and Culture (RCSC) held the ‘Mendeleev Lab (Chemical Laboratory)’ campaign on November 15 in Dhaka as part of the International Year of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements, said a press release. According to the release, the event was attended by students from the School of the Russian Embassy in Bangladesh and school children of local educational institutions.

Participants were able to verify the correctness of their ideas about how the surrounding world works. At the end of the event, everyone was awarded a personal certificate, added the release.

The International Year of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements was announced by the UN General Assembly. The table became a graphic expression of the Periodic Law, formulated by the Russian scientist Dmitry Mendeleev in 1869. RCSC in Dhaka said it will continue to support projects related to the popularization of science and technology and provide a basis for understanding how, where and why the space in which we live is changing so quickly.
