BCL leader’s body recovered five days after missing

The body of a Chhatra League (BCL) leader was recovered yesterday, five days after he went missing in a trawler capsize incident on the river Padma in Harirampur. Police recovered the body of BCL leader Rony Biswas from the bank of the river Padma at village Prankunno under Noyabari union of Dohar thana of Dhaka. Muyeed Chowdhury, OC of Harirampur police station, informed that people of the village Prankunno saw the body of Rony on the bank of the river Padma and informed the police. Being informed, Harirampur thana police and Rony's relatives identified the body. Later, his body was brought to the police station. Rony Biswas, law affairs secretary of Harirampur upazila Chhatra League, remained missing as a trawler capsized after being dashed by a cargo trawler on Thursday last.
