Singer’s birthday today

Anupama Mukti postpones all recordings and stage shows

Popular Bangladeshi playback singer Anupama Mukti has postponed all her recordings and stage shows as part of precautions amid the coronavirus pandemic in the country. The singer was scheduled to record a show for a private TV channel this week and also was scheduled to take part in multiple stage shows recently. Considering the current condition of coronavirus outbreak all over the world, including Bangladesh, Anupama pushed back all her activities for an indefinite period of time.

Anupama, who came to limelight with her playback for Suchonda-directed film ‘Hazar Bochhor Dhore’, participated last in a live music show on Desh TV on March 26 on the occasion of Independence Day. Now, in view of the safety concerns for herself and family members, the singer is staying in self-isolation at her residence in Mirpur area from March 26.

On the other hand, today is the birthday of Anupama Mukti.

About her birthday, Anupama said, “I never imagined that I have to spend my birthday in such a horrible situation. Truly speaking, musicians are very similar to day labourers. Only Allah knows when we will come out from this terrible darkness.”

“I pray to almighty Allah that everything will be normal soon. Till then, everyone please stay at home and stay safe”, she added.

Anupama rendered a song on Bangabandhu titled ‘Ashbena Phire Jani’. Written and tuned by Salah Uddin Shoaib Chowdhury, the music arrangement of the song was done jointly by ErfanTipu and Kazi Jamal. l
