Teenage boy electrocuted in Dhaka

A teenage boy got electrocuted at Sikkatuli of Bangshal area in the city early Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Md Ishraq Hossain, 17, son of Shishu Mia of Manikdi village under Bhairab police station in Kishoreganj district. He used to run a shoe factory.

Ifat Hossain, the uncle of the deceased, said Ishraq got electrocuted while plugging in his mobile phone set for charging at the shoe factory.

Later, he was rushed to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 2.30 am where a doctor declared him dead.

The body has been kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy, said Bachchu Mia, police inspector at the DMCH police camp.
