Road crashes kill 5 including cop in 2 dists

At least five people including a police member were killed and another police man was critically injured in separate road accidents in Gopalganj and Panchagarh districts yesterday. In Gopalganj, three people were killed and Monir Hossain, 35, sub-inspector of Rajoir Police Station was injured in a motorbike accident at Debgram on Kotalipara-Rajoir road. The deceased were - Emdadul Haque, 30, computer operator of Kashiani Police station, Ranjit Biswas, 27, and Pero Halder, 22, residents of Kachikata village in Kotalipara upazila. In Panchagarh, two motorcyclists Rajib Islam, 22, of Sipaipara area and Anisur Rahman, of Chaturagach area of Tetulia, were also killed in an accident between two vehicles in Nazrul Sarani area on Tetulia-Banglabandha highway.
